Comments: Dear Mr Pattison I am writing to OBJECT to the above referenced application on the grounds that: - the noise and dust pollution would negatively impact the use of the footpaths around Summerhill; - there would be a significant loss of amenity and enjoyment of the countryside in Summerhill Lane and the surrounding area; - there would be an unacceptable impact on the residents of Coppards and other properties in the vicinity; - no testing has been done at local residential sites (including at Coppards) where numerous residents have been identified as being noise sensitive receptors; - on the day ‘testing’ was conducted on the application site, the concrete had a ‘technical fault’ so modelling has been used as an inadequate substitute; - the environmental report is out of date; - the watercourse assessments were conducted in June; - it is inappropriate to allow such industry and processes so close to residential properties and the continuously expanding Hailsham where the impact of dust and pollution will be detrimental to residents in a large radius of the site; and - the loss of amenity with respect to the nearby countryside and woodlands will be detrimental to the mental health of all residents of Polegate, Hailsham and the surrounding areas when, as the lockdown has proven, peace, tranquility and unfettered open space is essential. Kind Regards Ms A de Meyrick
