Etcsussex Dementia Day service offers people with Dementia the chance to enjoy some new activities away from home. Our service offers support with a wide range of activities designed to suit their needs, within a comfortable, safe environment. Our specially trained staff and calm atmosphere means that visitors to the day service can relax and enjoy their time with us. It also provides their carer’s with a much needed break from their caring role.
Sitting service available to give carers a break for clients who prefer to be in familiar surroundings.
We offer a day service for physical disability and isolation.

Charging and related information

£ 51.50 - £72.10 per day and £25-35 per half day. Lunch is £6.20 for a 2 course meal. Transport can be arranged with the service provider. Rates are dependent upon where they live.


As the manager of the new service I bring working knowledge of people with dementia and have had experience of organising events and services. I have managed groups of staff in various settings including the provision of services. I have experience of reactive support and I am a good communicator and am used to chairing meetings of both staff and engaging with carers.


I have worked in Adult social care as a resource officer for the last 10 years. I have managed a team of support workers set up new day services and also set up new primary care pilot. I have many years of experience working with dementia mental health services based at St Annes Centre. I have worked with the carers breaks team managing support workers who are looking to engage services users to find day opportunities which are meaningful.


I have worked for Adult social care for the last 10 years and previous 15 years. I have experience of assessment process a care planning. I have made applications for funding of care packages. I have worked with all adult groups specialising in dementia and the impact on carers. I have previously set up day services for dementia day care. I have completed level 5 in management in health and social care.
I have managed a team of support workers and recruited, inducted and supported them via supervision.
