List of services

A Davis programme is a unique approach to learning differences including those associated with dyslexia, dyspraxia, AD(H)D, difficulties with maths, attention and organisational skills. Clients are shown mental tools to control their energy and focus. A programme builds strong foundations so that the person (adult or child) is able to take control of their learning to address their goals. A standard programme is 30 hours and an additional review day. It also includes training a designated support person to enable that person to provide on-going support to the client.

Expertise

A Davis programme addresses the causes, not the symptoms of learning differences. Methods are hands on including working in clay to make things ‘real’. There are simple exercises to open new neural pathways so that attention and therefore learning becomes easier for lasting change and improved confidence and self esteem.

Experience

Trained and licensed as Davis Facilitator from 2006 (www.dyslexia.com) with DDAI. CPD continually undertaken as a requirement of my UK membership.

Davis Dyslexia Facilitators Association (UK) (DDFA). The DDFA are corporate members of the British Dyslexia Association (BDA), a registered charity. I am also a member of the Crowborough and District Chamber of Commerce.

Testimonials from some of my clients are available on the UK Facilitators website: www.unlocking-learning.co.uk

Background

I have been providing Davis Programmes since 2006 to children and adults from 6 to over 60’s. I am a mother of a dyslexic son (which is how I became aware of the Davis methods).
