I am a mature healthcare professional, easy going and kind gentlemen with over 20 years experience working in radiography and ultrasound clinical settings both in NHS hospitals, private healthcare and abroad. This provided the opportunity to understand a range of medical conditions and disabilities. I hold a BSc in Radiography and post graduate qualifications in ultrasound and imaging. During my career, my role involved both performing clinical procedures and managing the radiology service as Radiology Manager. Some of core strengths of my skills set include good communication, presentation and negotiating skills, good management and leadership skills. My areas of interest are service development and improvements. All in all, time management and organisational skills are important factors to achieve desired objectives.

For over 18 years, I played a major role in caring for my late father who had a stroke. This gave me an insight of understanding of what is involved in the caring for an adult. From that point I developed keen interest to learn more about caring, and to that effect, I started to work in care services on a part time basis, and now I have over 5 years of experience in caring a wide range of conditions and disabilities, including dementia and Alzheimer's. I am a member of the Support With Confidence Scheme run by East Sussex County Council. To this effect, I have undertaken a number of accredited training courses under the above scheme. In the last 5 years I have been providing personal care to client's both in nursing homes and domiciliary care in client's residence. To deliver quality care to the local community gives me pleasure and satisfaction. I enjoy walking, gardening, reading history, cultures and listening to current affairs news and sport, especially football and wrestling. I also have a passion for wild life conservation from my young youthful age, influenced by my late grandfather
