I believe that it is really important that clients enjoy our time together that we do what they want to do and the client commits to the interventions, it is their time.
I have some experience of supporting with end of life care and I would be willing to support someone through this time of his or her life.
I have experience of supporting with personal care, but I am limited as I have a back condition, hence the reason for stating only light personal care on offer.
I have an interest in supporting people with organic and functional mental health conditions. I am keen to supporting people to identify activities, which are meaningful to them, and identifying, and overcoming barriers, which may be preventing them from being able to take part in these. I can support people to re-engage and maintain engagement with activities whether this is self-care, leisure or productive activities, such as employment or volunteering opportunities, through re learning, maintaining and developing new skills. I have vast experience and skills in helping people to increase their confidence and motivation and work in a way, which helps people, maximise their independence. I like to build excellent therapeutic relationships and I have a strong interest in this, understanding its importance in successfully supporting people. My communications skills are developed to a high level and are able navigate a diverse and complex range of communication needs.

I am a patient and compassionate person and always adopt a holistic and person-centred approach. I work in a way, which places emphasis on the dignity of the people I work with and am passionate about reducing stigma and marginalisation of vulnerable people. I have an interest in animals and animal welfare, nature, Classical music, cooking and baking. I play the piano for relaxation and watch a limited amount of TV. I am a keen gardener with varying degrees of success though.
