I have qualifications for Business Studies, Child-minding, Paediatric First Aid, Moving and Handling, First Aid, Food Safety, Dignity, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes, Mental Health, Medication, Stroke, Epilepsy.

I am also a volunteer for Cinnamon Trust. This is a charity that specialises in looking after the pets of elderly and terminally ill people who can no longer look after their dearly loved pets, albeit a dog, a cat or even a budgie. At present I am only walking dogs but I love it, especially as all the dogs are well behaved.

With over thirty years experience and a vast knowledge of office work, childcare, elderly care, dementia, specialist support services, medicine, befriending, cooking, good nutrition, animals and gardening.
I feel confident to offer my services with a professional caring approach. I enjoy
volunteer work and my current role is for the Cinnamon Trust.
In all of my work, I have found the quality people look for most in a person caring for them is confidence, empathy, patience and a positive outlook on life. Amongst many other qualities, I have those four and always greet my clients with a smile and friendly approach.

Having attended Business College I began my career as a secretary in the Executor and Trustee Division of a Bank. I retired from the
post office when I started to bring up my family. During this time I became a child-minder registered with Ofsted. When my family were older
my mother required a little extra help, so I retired from child-minding to become a home help assisting her. This involved interviewing carers, employment, dealing with payroll/direct payments and being in charge of her medication.
Combined with this, I set up my own home help company
providing a service for the elderly population. Now that my family have all flown the nest and my mother has
passed on, I have made the decision to further my career as a Personal Assistant as I enjoy working with people whose needs require a
little more than the average person. So I have trained and become accredited on the Support with Confidence scheme operated
by East Sussex County Council.
