I have been in the Health & Social Care industry for over 12 years, 9 of these as Personal Assistant. This includes facilitating group activities and social engagement opportunities for clients. I have gained extensive experience and knowledge during this time and taken every opportunity for self development and progression through training, research and gaining further qualifications.

For the past year, I had the fantastic opportunity to further my experience and career progression whilst working for the Carers Breaks Dementia Engagement Service (Adult Social Care, East Sussex County Council). I also facilitate x3 of the Dementia Supper Clubs which are across are supported by East Sussex County Council. The Supper Clubs are a great opportunity for Carers and people with dementia to meet other people with dementia and their carers across East Sussex. They can share experiences, increase their support network, get together, meet new friends, have a meal or just a drink and chat.

I started my own business 9 years ago by providing art therapy and activities to clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s and mental health conditions. This work inspired me to design and make affordable, unique sensory, acoustic and tactile products for individuals.
I was a registered foster carer for over 6 years, specializing in respite and emergency care for children with learning disabilities, special needs, autism and challenging behavior.
