I offer one-to-one practical person-centred support and social interaction to clients, that can also allow respite breaks for carers.
Friendly activities for example: quizzes, crosswords, art and colouring, gardening and reminiscing activities. These activities I can adapt for the client to promote their wellbeing and enjoyment. My interests include pottering in my gardening especially planting up flowerpots which I find therapeutic and relaxing. I love watching nature and the flowers growing.

Dedicated carer, long experience, happy and conscientious. Before becoming a Personal Assistant I worked for over twenty years as a Care Officer at Milton Grange Day Centre in Eastbourne. For the last five years there I stepped up to work at a senior level and helped to run the busy centre dealing with multiple issues to help ensure the care, safety and wellbeing of all. I have experience of working with and supporting elderly people with Dementia, Alzheimer’s and other mental health issues.
I have met many wonderful people with so many amazing life experiences. I have a passion for caring for the elderly and have learnt that small actions and interactions can make a big difference and enhance a person’s wellbeing and quality of life.
I have lived in Eastbourne for most of my life, loving the seaside, the Downs and the Eastbourne community.
Employed by East Sussex County Council for over twenty years as a Care Officer then later as a Senior Rehabilitation Worker in a day care centre, delivering all aspects of individual person-centred care, with the aim to give them a sense of wellbeing, a meaningful day out and quality of life.
I have understanding and empathy for the difficulties of next of kin, family and friends may be under while caring for their nearest and dearest, and the importance of them needing a break.
