Experience
I have worked in the healthcare sector for the past 20 years in varying roles, but all with the same aim of looking after people in need of help.
I find there is no greater satisfaction in life than to feel that I’ve made a difference, no matter how small, to someone’s life and made it just that little bit easier and pleasant for them.
Regardless of what role I have been in, I have always adopted a person-centred approach to my work as I feel it is vital for the individual concerned and enables me to provide the best possible service to them.
I very much enjoy building a rapport with clients, their family and friends, and I’m happy to work alongside them and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcome for the individual. I have experience of supporting people with a visual impairment.
Background
I gained a great deal of experience in healthcare, working both in the community and in the nursing home setting. I have worked for several years in both environments, caring for clients / residents with a wide range of individual needs, ranging from those needing low level assistance through to those with very complex needs and palliative / end of life care.
For the last 3 years, I have been working for a private ambulance company, supporting the NHS in transporting patients to and from hospital and other healthcare appointments, carrying out hospital transfers and discharges back to home.
Prior to entering healthcare, I worked for many years in an office environment, mainly in accounts and financial settings.
I am fully insured with Public Liability and Business Car Insurance.
